Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve

Easy-access wetlands on the Arnhem Highway — one of the best spots near Darwin for birdlife, wallabies, and classic Top End wetland scenery. Great at sunrise/sunset, with boardwalks and lookouts that make it simple to get proper photos without trekking for hours.

Northern Coastal Floodplains (Top End Wetlands)

This is the big-sky, wide-open NT you picture when you think “Top End” — seasonal floodplains, paperbarks, lilies, and wildlife everywhere depending on the time of year. It’s the scenery that makes the drive itself part of the tour.

Adelaide River Cruises – Jumping Crocodile Experience

The headline act. A proper Adelaide River crocodile cruise where you see huge saltwater crocs up close in their natural territory — the iconic “jumping crocs” experience people come to the NT for.

Two people fishing on a dock by a pond under a clear blue sky.

Hooked on Barra

A fun, beginner-friendly land-based barramundi fishing stop — no boat, no experience needed. It’s hands-on, great for families and first-timers, and you’ll usually walk away with a cracking fish photo.
